Twins can be confusing

A few weeks ago my sister Wendy & Dan came to visit us, and drove with cousin Matt & Megan who were visiting twin Adam, & Laurie & kids down here. We were all together at the park playing ball, and I pointed at Matt and asked Xander, "Who is that?"
He responded, "Adam."
I pointed at Adam and asked, "then who is that?"
"Adam," said Xander.
"How many Adams are there?"
"Two," he said, without a shred of confusion.

Ready for another one?

Xander: Are you ready to have another one?
Me: Another what?
Xander: Someone that doesn't have a house yet... like another boy, like I'm a boy. You could have three boys, because I'm three.
Me: You know when new kids come, they're usually just little babies, right?
Xander: Well I want one that's my age.

Pirate stuff

Xander likes pirates, so he was anxious to go on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. The first time on it he was a little nervous as the lights dimmed down to almost black. We then went down the waterfall, and as everyone screamed with glee, Xander started crying. “What's wrong?” I asked.
“No, I don't want the pirates to get me!” he said, petrified with fear. I let him know they weren't going to get us. Xander said, “Oh, these are nice pirates.” Xander later said, “I like pirates. I saw some at Disneyland and they were nice.”
For Halloween Xander was the cutest Captain Jack Sparrow you've ever seen & Will was an adorable skunk.

Lake Powell- July 2007

On the ride home: Clouds, Target, & Happiness
We passed some smokestacks on the way back and Xander asked, “Those making clouds?”
...then a few towns later
Xander wanted to know where grandpa Mark went. We told him he had to go back to Utah so he could go to work. Out of the blue he said, “No- grandpa not go to work... he go to Target.”
then...
We told Xander that after taking naps in the car we could go swimming later on. He said, “I not need naps, I already getting happy.”
Bats eat cheetos
There were lots of bats at Lake Powell, and for some reason Xander kept saying that “bats eat bugs and keetos.” He repeated this claim several times. We all laughed thinking it was funny that he thought they ate bugs and cheetos. We got home and he told me again that they ate bugs and keetos.
I laughed and said, “Who told you that?”
He said, “Grandma Diane told me that. I call her and she tell me that.”
I said, “So they eat bugs and cheetos huh?”
He said, “No- not cheetos... keetos!” It finally dawned on me that he was saying something else.
I said, “Mosquitos?”
“Yes,” he said, “keetos.”
