Strongman

Will's trademark move, for about the last year, is that he holds his breath and flexes when you ask him if he's strong.  I've been trying to catch it for a while, but I think this about the best I'm gonna get for now (he's getting kinda burned out with it, unless there's a crowd to show off in front of).  When he was just little and would do it, he'd turn bright red and shake with concentration.  We figured he must have copied what he thought he saw Xander doing, but then took it a step further.  Then of course he'd repeat it over and over when he got laughs.  

 

Well, I've been looking for my camera for a while now.  I hope it turns up soon- because we're about to leave and do some more Utah, and some camping too, to finish off our perfect summer.  Has that ever happened to y'all? ...or am I the only one that's lost the camera right before I want to take some pics.

Here it goes:

1. What is his name?  Blair Kennedy Curtis

2. Who eats more?  Blair, but it's usually pretty even.

3. Who said, "I love you" first?  Blair... and my response was, “Umm thanks, I think I love you too?”

4. Who is taller?  Blair, but I always tease him that we're the same height. 

5. Who is smarter?  Blair is more book smart... so I must have more common sense, right?

6. Who is more sensitive?  I guess it's probably me, I'm always reading into things that are meaningless.  Hey, I'm female. 

7. Who does the laundry?  I usually wash the laundry, but sometimes I can't bring myself to fold it, so Blair saves the day. 

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?  Blair sleeps on the right.

9. Who pays the bills?  I take care of the bills and banking.  He asks me how much we have every once in a while.

10. Who cooks more?  I cook more nowadays, but Blair is a grill master and also knows his way around the kitchen, and enjoys to cook. 

11. Who is more stubborn?  I'm more stubborn, but he can be a little buggar sometimes too.

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong?  Blair usually has to give in and admit that he's wrong, because he usually is :)  

13. Who has more siblings?  I have more siblings:  5 siblings for me vs. 3 for him.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship?  I like to, and usually get away with it.  

15. What do you like to do together?  Eat out, watch movies, have family outings, go to free stuff.    

16. Who eats more sweets?  Blair- he has a big time sweet tooth.

17. Guilty Pleasures?  Blair: Candy   Mine: Chocolate

18. How did you meet?  We went to the same high school, but barely talked (not because we weren't interested, but more because it was a big high school!)  After my mission, we met again through my little sis and his little bro who were friends.

19. Who asked whom out first?  Blair came to my house the day I got back from my mission, and tried to get me to go on this $2.40 ($3 if he was a big tipper) date with him where he'd go to the ½ off Wednesday dollar movies- then to  Denny's for the 70 cents Denny's 70th anniversary grilled cheese and fries special.  Not that it doesn't sound like the most amazing time ever-- but, I just wasn't in the mood to go on a date the day after my mission with anyone.  Well, a few months later I came back for a visit from college and he asked me out again (this time to a Peter Breinholt concert- much better!)

20. Who kissed who first?  Blair kissed me first, but I must admit that I sorta put him in a funny position where it would have been more awkward for him not to kiss me, than to (you know- the moment is just right, you turn around, and your face is close- just think of that “Kiss the Girl” song from The Little Mermaid).

21. Who proposed?  Well, we talked and planned on getting married beforehand, and then the romantic guy waited for the least perfect moment on the hill outside of Arby's to make it official.  Then we walked a few buildings over to the ring shop to pick out our rings (I think he should owe me a re-proposal). 

22. His best features and qualities?  His calves are awesome!  Ha ha.  Let's see, he is a hard worker, and super dedicated our little family, and to school right now (I really don't know how you can be as disciplined in your study as he is).  He always helps around the house, and has a fun personality that rubs off on others.

Summer in Utah

We've been able to be in Utah for the summer so far.

I'll tell you- it's a lot more pleasant than the summers in Nevada!  

We got back to Nevada yesterday and the thermostat in our house read 95 degrees.  Supposedly it had been 108 outside yesterday.  We turned the AC on full blast, and it took two hours for it to go down to 94 degrees! We concluded that our thermostat probably can only read to 95 degrees, but that it was a heck of a lot hotter than that inside.

We're all ready to go back to UT!
